Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the School Platform student information system and learning management services (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you are entering into them on behalf of a school or organisation, you represent that you are authorised to do so.

The Services

School Platform provides software for managing enrolments, attendance, grading, timetables, communication, and billing for specialised schools. We may update, improve, or change the Services over time. We provide each school with its own isolated deployment of the Services.

Accounts and acceptable use

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, for keeping credentials secure, and for activity under your account. You agree not to misuse the Services, including by attempting to access another school’s data, disrupting the Services, reverse engineering the software, or using the Services in violation of applicable law.

Customer data

As between the parties, the school owns the data it submits to the Services (“Customer Data”). The school grants us the rights needed to host and process Customer Data to provide the Services. We handle Customer Data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual property

The Services, including all software, design, text, graphics, and other content we provide, and the “School Platform” name and logo, are owned by School Platform and its licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Services during your subscription. No other rights are granted, and all rights not expressly granted are reserved. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Services except as permitted by these Terms.

Fees and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly stated. We may change pricing on reasonable notice, effective at the start of the next billing period.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, School Platform will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability arising out of or relating to the Services is limited to the amounts paid for the Services in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

Either party may terminate in accordance with the applicable order or subscription. On termination, your right to use the Services ends, and we will make Customer Data available for export or deletion as described in our agreement with the school.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
